Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Wants The Names Of His Alleged Victims To Be Released

Sean 'Diddy' Combs

CONTENT WARNING: This article discusses alleged sexual assault and trafficking.

Alleged victims of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have come forward, with two women and four men filing sexual assault and rape cases against the disgraced rapper on Monday October 14, local time.

The plaintiffs have filed anonymously, but Diddy’s lawyers are requesting the court force the alleged victims to be identified.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who claims he is representing 120 alleged victims, filed the six complaints under the monikers Jane and John Does.

In response, Diddy’s lawyers filed their own court documents on Tuesday October 15, according to People. These documents ask the court to “require the government to identify its alleged victims” so Diddy “can prepare for trial”.

The attorneys noted that Diddy’s case “is unique” by way of his “celebrity status, wealth, and the publicity of his previously settled lawsuit”, in addition to the alleged “grand jury leaks and false inflammatory statements” they claim have appeared throughout the legal stoush.

His lawyers claimed that these new lawsuits have added “a pervasive ripple effect”, which could lead accusers to file suits that could be “false” or “outright absurd”. They also labelled Buzbee’s lawsuits as a “publicity stunt”.

“These swirling allegations have created a hysterical media circus that, if left unchecked, will irreparably deprive Mr. Combs of a fair trial, if they haven’t already,” the lawyers claimed.

Diddy’s lawyers have stated that “without clarity” of the alleged victims’ names, Diddy will not be able to know who these accusers are. He goes on to say that he believes once they are revealed, there could be “voluminous evidence of consensual sexual activity — making it all the more difficult for Mr. Combs to ascertain which of his prior sexual partners now claim, years later, that they felt coerced.”

Diddy is currently in custody after being denied bail. He is awaiting trial over charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. His trial date is currently set for May 5, 2025.
