Seamus Power is just two shots off the lead at the Sony Open in Hawaii after a bogey-free first round.
The Waterford man carded seven birdies in a round of 63 to finish his day seven-under-par.
He currently shares fourth spot at the tournament and is two shots behind the leader and defending champion Kevin Na.
Power birdied the opening hole in Honolulu and got two more on the fifth and sixth holes before more on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th.
Meanwhile, Na birdied four holes on the front nine before an eagle on the ninth.
He then birdied two of the first three holes on the back nine and finished his round on nine-under-par on 61.
