Séamus Power's victory at the Bermuda Championship was a big deal for a number of reasons.
Firstly, it nets Power over €1 million. Secondly, it puts him right in the qualification hunt for next year's Ryder Cup. But perhaps most importantly, the Déise man's win made history for Irish golf.
For the first time ever, Ireland had two different golfers win two different events back to back on the PGA Tour. Last week belonged to Rory McIlroy of course who defended the CJ Cup and regained the World Number One position, a title he has now held on a whopping nine separate occasions.

This weekend was Power's time to shine. After three consecutive rounds of 65, Power began his final day right in the thick of things on 18-under par.
An opening Birdie got the 35-year-old off to the perfect start, and while there was a late wobble with a string of Bogeys on the back nine, Birdie on 17 gave the Irishman a two-shot buffer walking down the final fairway.
A tap-in Bogey gave Power the one-shot win over Thomas Detry and secured a second PGA Tour title, with the first coming at the Barbasol Championship in 2021.
He still has a ways to go to catch four-time major champion and serial winner McIlroy. The Holywood man has won a staggering 23 PGA Tour titles and has a total tally of 33 professional wins.
