Seamus Coleman proved class is permanent as he turned in an 'excellent' display against Crystal Palace during Everton's 3-0 win over the Eagles on Saturday.
The Donegal man was handed the tough task of marking Wilifried Zaha Goodison Park yesterday afternoon. The Palace winger has been in sparkling form this season, and has already scored four Premier League goals this term.
Coleman however performed like a man who knew he would have to be at his best to get the better of Zaha. The Everton captain was outstanding throughout and by the end of the game, Zaha cut an extremely frustrated figure.

On his 390th appearance for the club, Coleman kept Zaha's influence to a bare minimum and played an integral role in Everton's comfortable win.
Coleman has come in for criticism at times from fans and pundits, like Jamie Carragher, over the past couple of seasons and has seen his game time reduced due to the emergence of Nathan Patterson.
But fans adored Coleman's sensational performance yesterday. And after the game, supporters took to Twitter to praise the Irish skipper for his brilliant showing.
"Seamus Coleman was excellent for Everton today. Zaha is such a dangerous player but Coleman kept him quiet throughout. That tackle in the area just after half-time was particularly crucial," wrote Joe.
While the 'Kenny's kids' account posted, "Our leader Seamus Coleman was outstanding today. He completed five tackles to keep Wilfried Zaha quiet and help Everton to a 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace. Never write him off."
Commenting on his performance, one Everton fan said, "Always pockets Zaha."
While another fan simply put," 60 grand 60 grand 60 grand, 60 grand 60 grand Seamus Coleman. Toffee life. Everton FC."
Yesterday marked the 13th anniversary of the Irish star's first appearance for the Toffee's. If yesterday's showing is anything to go by, there looks to be plenty left in the tank of the Killybegs man.
