Seamus Coleman has eased any concerns that he could be set for a prolonged period on the sidelines after being stretchered off during Everton's 2-2 draw with Leicester City - revealing he has no damage to his anterior cruciate ligament.
The Blues' club captain departed the field on a stretcher during the Premier League showdown with relegation-threatened Leicester City at the King Power Stadium after a coming together with Boubakary Soumare shortly before half-time.
Despite lying on the turf in agony, Coleman looked to rally both the Everton players and 3,000 supporters in the away end as he departed the field with his side 2-1 down after Caglar Soyuncu and Jamie Vardy had cancelled out Dominic Calvert-Lewin's penalty in the 15th minute.

And with the defender out of contract at the end of June, there were fears amongst supporters that the Republic of Ireland international, who joined from Sligo Rovers in 2009 for £60,000, could have played his last game for the club.
But in a social media post shared by the club this morning, Coleman said: "Just wanted to update you all, thanks so much for all the well wishes, just back from my scan & pleased to say I have no ACL damage. Be back soon".
However, it remains to be seen whether the right-back will play any further part in Everton's battle to avoid a first Premier League relegation, with the Blues facing games against Brighton, Manchester City, Wolves and Bournemouth between now and May 28.
Speaking after the game in the East Midlands, Sean Dyche admitted to initial concerns over the injury.
"It's really unfortunate," Dyche told reporters. "We're waiting on news, it could be serious, a knee injury. I thought he was terrific."
