Seahawks to wear white jerseys with gray pants on Sunday

The Seattle Seahawks have announced on Twitter which uniform combination they are wearing for their Week 11 rematch with the Rams.  Seattle will be wearing their traditional away white jerseys with their gray pants.

Since their introduction in 2012, this is not a combo that has yielded success for the Seahawks.

When Seattle decided to finally bring the throwback uniforms into the rotation, it came at the expense of retiring the wolf gray jerseys. The NFL only allows teams to have four jerseys, and the wolf grays drew the short straw. Although I was sad to see them – and their lofty 12-2-1 record all time – go, I was at least comforted knowing the white jersey/gray pants combo would go as well…

…or so I thought.

After the Seahawks announced in Week 7 they would wear the blue jersey/gray pants combo, we learned the team was still allowed to keep the gray pants in the rotation. From there, it was only a matter of time until the white-on-gray would return.

Unfortunately, this is a rather inopportune time for their return, as they are coming against a Rams team Seattle always struggles against. The Seahawks did manage to earn a rare victory in this combo last season at SoFi Stadium, but it was in a game against the Chargers.

The last time Seattle wore white-on-gray was their 41-23 Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
