Seahawks QB Geno Smith contract talks a ‘conversation that’s coming’

A report by NFL analyst Ian Rapoport surfaced Sunday indicating the Seattle Seahawks intend to keep quarterback Geno Smith on the roster and long-term contract talks are to start as soon as the end of the season.

“In fact, the Seahawks want both QBs back – Smith and backup Drew Lock,” Rapoport wrote. “They have yet to make an offer to Smith, who’s set to be a free agent in 2023, to extend his contract, and those talks will happen after the season.”
