With the No. 198 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, the Seattle Seahawks have taken New Mexico safety Jerrick Reed II.
Reed played 41 games during his time in college. He totaled 266 combined tackles, including 9.5 for a loss, plus seven interceptions, 21 pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
Reed’s measurables are 5-foot-10, 192 pounds with 32.5″ arms and 9.875″ hands. He ran a 4.54 forty yard dash time, posted a 34″ vertical and 15 bench press reps.
For now Reed will be serving as backup behind Jamal Adams, Quandre Diggs and Julian Love. He may not see much playing time until one of them is out of the picture.
