Seahawks NT Jarran Reed already has a career-high in pressures

Not every reunion works out as planned. Sometimes some tv shows lose their mojo during a revival, or perhaps the couple that gets back together probably should have stayed divorced. But sometimes, things work out flawlessly, even better than hoped. Such is the case with the Seattle Seahawks and defensive lineman Jarran Reed.

The Seahawks brought Reed back to the Emerald City this offseason after two years away. Not only is Reed playing as if he never left, he’s performing better than ever.

On the year, Reed has 16 total tackles and two sacks. He also blocked a field goal in Week 1 – the last Seattle highlight from that particular game. Reed’s presense has helped rapidly improve the Seahawks’ defensive front, which was a complete liability last year.

While there could be an argument to be made that Seattle might need more help up front, it’s certainly not because Reed isn’t doing his job. In fact, Reed’s performance this year might help justify the reasoning for the Seahawks to make a trade to help bolster the front.
