Geno Smith is having a moment. Not only is he the front runner for NFL comeback player of the year. He’s now one of the faces of the league in Germany as his Seahawks face Tampa Bay in the first ever regular season game played in that country.
He’s also set to be a free agent this offseason and will likely cash in on his magical season. One Seahawks legend has seen enough to think the team needs to lock him in as QB1 for years to come.
“He will get the contract he so values, so deserves,” said Alexander in an interview on ‘Sports Seriously’ to Mackenzie Salmon. “There’s nothing that he has done that has made us think he’s not our guy for the next five years.”
A ringing endorsement from a man who was just put in Seattle’s ring of honor.
