The speculation regarding Baker Mayfield’s next NFL destination is still going strong, and the Seattle Seahawks have been floated as a popular choice ever since the organization traded their longtime franchise quarterback Russell Wilson.
However, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reaffirmed Seattle’s rumored lack of interest in the disgruntled Browns signal-caller and stated that they are moving forward with the competition between Drew Lock and Geno Smith.
Rapoport appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and had this to say…

In all likelihood, the Seahawks will play out the season with Lock and Smith and draft a quarterback in 2023 if things do not go well. They are certainly not projected to be a contender in the NFC West this year, let alone a Super Bowl despite head coach Pete Carroll’s belief in Lock and Smith.
Seahawks fans will likely be in for a long season in 2022.
