Nothing upsets an NFL fanbase quite like a first-round draft pick who turns out to be a bust. L.J. Collier was one of several during the dark years (2013-2021) when the Seahawks front office seemingly forgot how to draft. These days Collier is playing for the division rival Cardinals and he made some comments to the media yesterday that have ruffled the feathers of the fanbase, saying Seattle wasn’t his type of place.
That’s relatively harmless as far as trash-talking your former team goes, but of course some fans aren’t taking it too well. Here’s what the 12s are tweeting about Collier.

I'm assuming Seattle isn't L.J. Collier's kind of place because the #Seahawks wanted him to try hard and actually give a shit about being good. ln that sense, yeah, the Cardinals are more the team for him …

Seeing the name L.J. Collier on the inactive list was my way to kick off Sunday for the past fast few years

Collier had every chance to succeed but instead blames the Seahawks. He will be out the league within two years

"Collier has no issues with his time in Seattle. He called it a great organization with great coaches.."
He didn't exactly dump on the city. He acknowledged the Seahawks' organization. It just wasn't a system where he felt he could do well.
I wish him well (except against us..)

Maybe, just Maybe, LJ Collier wasn't Seattle's type of person!
— Richard Peterson (@Richard32587838) August 15, 2023
Collier was so bad in Seattle. Thanks for taking him off our hands

Lol

He was a lazy POS in Seattle, the red turds is a perfect place for him to finish his career this year
— Ben Dover (@YuHoe4) August 16, 2023
It's really gonna not be his kind of place on Oct. 22nd…

You got to be kidding me 😂😂😂😂
— Bryant Worthing 🗯 (@BBOYWORTHING) August 15, 2023
I guess he didn’t like rain. Hope he likes 110° weather. I
Love Seattle. We’ll do fine without him.— seattlejohn (@seattlejohn) August 16, 2023
I had a feeling when the Seahawks missed out on Montez Sweat and had to settle for this guy that he wasn’t going to pan out.
— Mike Champion (@_MikeChampion_) August 15, 2023
Makes sense he feels at home in this level of facilities. (Voted on by the players) pic.twitter.com/B68hSWcdOG
— TOUGH Hawks 🔨 (@12thManNorth) August 15, 2023
Sounds like he didn't wanna compete and wanted a job just based on where he was picked.
— taylor trent (@24TaylorMade) August 15, 2023
I don’t understand why it’s necessary to dump on the city you left. Why not just be happy with your new team and leave it at that?
— SJ (@Jen_SJ) August 15, 2023
His type of place is the XFL where less talented players are welcome
— Dane Mosher (@___daner) August 15, 2023
A dysfunctional and poorly disciplined player WOULD feel more comfortable in a poorly run org. This checks out!
— Pepe Silvia (@mr_woodchuck_) August 15, 2023
Wishing the best for him, sorry it didn’t work out for LJ is Seattle
— Beelzebubba (@HawkStrologer) August 15, 2023
Alotta talk from a guy who would have been a 3rd round pick if the Seahawks didn’t take him in the first round.

I prefer a place that’s comfortable, where I can relax and enjoy the view, like…
The bench
— CurtTheDirt (@curtthedirt) August 15, 2023
Aka bust ….going to play on the worst team in the league
— Brian (@Bmanhusky) August 16, 2023
seattle is one of the best ran organizations in the league

The bench is his type of place pic.twitter.com/3c9zlmzJdP

Translation: The Cardinals were the only team to offer me money to play so I came to Arizona.
— Ryan (@Whitebird480) August 15, 2023
All the best to him. Sometimes, a fresh start is all you need.
— PandaHombre (@PandaHombre) August 16, 2023
Good luck to him, but I can’t say we’ll miss him in seattle. Was one of those picks that was really criticized and then all those critics were proved right. He plays hard, gives his all but just couldn’t produce on the field
— Joseph Hanson (@Joedidthis) August 15, 2023
I wish him happiness and success (except against us!) in his next chapter. ❤️ #GoHawks
— Angie Kilbourne (@AKluvsSeahawks) August 16, 2023
Okayyyyy.
— vdeihl (@Seahawks72) August 16, 2023
What's wrong with the City of Seattle? Can't handle the cold and "rain"? Ahahha.. best of luck.. Seahawks made you a first rounder
— Hustle_Strong (@Eyezb_Hustle) August 15, 2023
Never played, never off the the inactive list, Hawks will be fine without him.

Still can't believe they drafted him in the first round. Possibly worst of the PCJS era

Lol….

Biggest Seattle bust
