The Seattle Seahawks have been having quite the “can’t miss” offseason. From re-signing quarterback Geno Smith to an incredibly team-friendly deal to a 2023 NFL draft many are buzzing positively about, it seems Seattle can do no wrong.
But perhaps the move the 12th Man has been the most in love with was bringing linebacker Bobby Wagner back into the fold. After a one-year separation, Wagner is back in the Pacific Northwest and ready to lead a Seahawks defense looking to improve.
Defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt spoke at length about what this means for the team. You can see his comments below.

Seattle’s run defense was abysmal in 2022, and part of the reason was they did not have a legitimate playmaker in their front seven. This is going to change in a hurry with Wagner back in action.
Wagner may not be the undisputed No. 1 linebacker in the NFL anymore, but there is certainly more than enough he can bring to give the Seahawks a major upgrade at the position.
