The Seattle Seahawks announced a roster move on Tuesday afternoon, the re-signing of wide receiver Cody Thompson.
Thompson originally entered the league in 2019 as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs out of Toledo. He spent roughly a week on Seattle’s practice squad later that season before he was cut and signed onto the Bengals practice squad. That January, Thompson was added back to the Seahawks practice squad.
In 2021, Thompson appeared in five games for Seattle on special teams but spent all of last year on the injured reserve after sustaining a shoulder injury during the preseason opener.
Thompson will add depth to the wide receiver room heading into the summer.
