Sead Kolasinac admitted it "hasn't been easy sometimes" as he reflected on his Arsenal career with an honest message to the Emirates faithful.
The defender, 28, joined Marseille on Tuesday after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with the Gunners.
Kolasinac made 80 Premier League appearances and 118 in all competitions for Arsenal under three managers after joining on a free transfer from Schalke
The highlight of his time in north London was the club's FA Cup triumph in the 2019/20 season, when he came off the bench against Chelsea in the final.
Kolasinac gradually slipped down Mikel Arteta 's left-back pecking order and spent last season on loan in the Bundesliga with Schalke.
He only made five appearances in all competitions this season and will hope for more minutes with Ligue 1 giants Marseille.

Reflecting on his time with Arsenal, Kolasinac wrote on Instagram : "Thank you Gunners, for the past years - even though it hasn't been easy sometimes.
"I always tried my best to give you my all. Also - thanks to all staff members and everyone else who was involved.
"Thank you – to all my teammates at Colney who have been great companions and supporters throughout my career."
Arsenal paid tribute to Kolasinac with a statement released on their official website which concludes: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Sead for his contribution to the club since he joined us in 2017 and wish him all the best for his future."
Kolasinac joined the Gunners four-and-a-half years ago on the back of a brilliant campaign which saw him named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
He beat Bayern Munich ace David Alaba to the left-back spot in the star-studded XI, so his arrival at the Emirates was met with plenty of anticipation.
However, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international struggled to cement himself in the Arsenal line-up for a sustained period, initially sharing minutes with Nacho Monreal.
Kolasinac later forged a role for himself as a left-sided centre-back, but Arteta's preference to play with a four-man defence diminished his role.
Kieran Tierney quickly became one of the Spaniard's most important players following his £25million transfer from Celtic in 2019, making the left-back role his own.
Arteta further strengthened in this department last summer by signing Nuno Tavares from Benfica, with the 21-year-old proving himself a fine back-up option during his debut season.
Arsenal return to action on Thursday night to face Liverpool in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final having held the Reds to a 0-0 draw at Anfield last week.
