Sead Haksabanovic's 'tactical' ability praised by Stoke City recruitment chief

Celtic loanee Sead Haksabanovic has been praised by Stoke City's head of recruitment Jared Dublin, who has talked up his "tactical" ability.

The Montenegro international joined the English Championship on a season-long loan deal after struggling for regular game time at Parkhead.

And Dublin is delighted to have the forward on the books at the Potters.

He said: "Sead is more of a tight dribbler, jinking type. Maybe he’s not one who is going to run with it the length of the pitch but someone who can drop a shoulder and sit someone down and maybe provide the last pass.

"He’s somebody who has statistically and historically produced goals and assists and eventually, for all the good football you play, you need someone who can back it up and somebody who’s got that proven quality, which we’ve found with Sead.

"He’s very big on the tactical side of the game so him and Alex Neil is like a match made in heaven considering what Alex is like."

Meanwhile, Celtic youth prospect Evan Easton has signed for English Premier League side Sheffield United.

The Hoops defender, who joined the club in 2020, never made a first-team appearance for the Scottish champions.

He has represented Scotland at several youth levels and can play as a defensive midfielder as well as at centre-back.

The 18-year-old featured once for the Celtic B team last season, playing 17 minutes in the UEFA Youth League against Shakhtar Donetsk.
