A sea lion at a Scottish safari park can be seen choosing a name for a newborn pup in an "adorable" video.
Blair Drummond Safari Park shared the cute clip on Wednesday morning of its sea lion Oscar selecting a name, following the birth of a sea lion pup three weeks ago.
In the video, a member of staff at the safari park suggests the names Atlas and Dave, with which Oscar looks unimpressed — and even covers his face with his flippers. However, after he hears the suggestion of Barney, he begins nodding vigorously and clapping his flippers together.
Taking to Facebook to share the "lovely" video, Blair Drummond Safari Park wrote: "Our second sea lion pup was born three weeks ago today and our keepers were having a tough time choosing a name for him.
"We decided to call in an expert to help us choose. Oscar has spoken!
"Our latest little pup is now officially called Barney!"
Before long, the clip had received over 350 likes and more than 70 comments. Many Facebook users were quick to share their thoughts on the pup's name.
One wrote: "We love it! Barney, we can't wait to meet you when we visit!"
"How lovely," a second wrote, while a third echoed: "So adorable, great video."
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Oh my goodness! Too cute."
Barney was born at the safari park on June 21 to mother Luce. According to the Blair Drummond website, "both Luce and her pup are doing well, and our team will be keeping a watchful eye on them in the coming weeks".
