Ahmedabad: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) is gearing up to contest the majority of seats in the 2027 Gujarat assembly elections by expanding its grassroots cadre base across the state, its national president M K Faizy announced on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters after holding a Leaders' Conclave in Ahmedabad, Faizy asserted that the outfit is positioning itself to emerge as an alternative opposition force against the ruling BJP, stepping into a political vacuum left by other national parties.
