Scrumptiously sweet treats served at Buchanan Galleries as Golden Spoon café opens

Shoppers at Buchanan Galleries have access to a strong selection of sweet treats which'll tantalise your taste buds as Golden Spoon café opens their first branch at the heart of the city centre.

The family run bakery is packed with a huge range of impressive desserts and show-stopping cakes, French patisserie, tarts and brownies.

Their mouth-watering menu also includes an assortment of freshly made sandwiches, waffles and ice cream, alongside a selection of fine coffee made by expert baristas and a variety of teas, juices and shakes.

Karmen Matsakova started the business, based in Wishaw, 18 years ago and it has gone from strength to strength - sweetening the lives of individuals who enter the store.

She said: “I first launched the business 18 years ago and I’m thrilled to open my first shop in the heart of Glasgow City Centre.

"The fantastic team are trained and ready, and we can’t wait to meet our new customers and provide them with a sweet treat to remember.”

Kathy Murdoch, Centre Manager at Buchanan Galleries, said: “Golden Spoon Café is a fantastic example of how we strive to support independent businesses and we’re excited to have them on board here at Buchanan Galleries.

"The café offers a variety of delicious baked cakes and patisseries suitable for any palette, which will no doubt hit the sweet spot for our visitors who are looking for a coffee catch up.”

The new city centre café is located on the second floor of the shopping centre, adjacent to Next.
