Scousers have offered Will Ferrell places to stay in their droves after the Hollywood star appealed for a spare room for Eurovision.
The comedy legend appeared on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday (November 15) morning and the conversation moved onto the Eurovision Song Contest. Zoe mentioned that she enjoyed Will's 2020 film 'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga', in which he played Icelandic singer Lars Erickssong.
After Zoe mentioned how much she enjoyed the film, Will responded: "And it’s in Liverpool this year, isn’t it?". Next May, Liverpool will host the song contest on behalf of Ukraine, having beaten other British cities to stage the event.

Zoe asked Will if he planned to attend and he said: “You know my mother really wants me to take her to Eurovision, she’s dying to go and she’s always wanted to go to Liverpool. He added: “But aren’t the hotels all booked now?”
Many hotels in and around Liverpool sold out within minutes of the announcement last month, while a number of other accommodation providers increased their prices considerably - not that it would cause a particular issue for Hollywood star Will.
The lack of hotel availability left Will having to appeal to Scousers for a spare room to be put in with. Zoe said: "If anyone is willing to put up Will Ferrell and his mum in Liverpool or the Liverpool area during Eurovision."
Will said: "We need a clean, tidy room. We’ll share a room - two bunk beds that’s all we need. I know we’re kidding but my mom would love that, she’d be thrilled."
If he wants to make good on his mum's desire to visit Liverpool, he isn't short of offers. ECHO readers have offered him spare rooms and sofas in their hundreds.
Natalie Daulby said: "You can come and stay in mine. My kids would love it. Since elf is their favourite film. We will have a scream."
Kelly Palethorpe said: "I have a spare room… I’ll even give him a lift over". Sarah Coffey offered Will a room and a full English each day.
Referencing a scene from Will's film Step Brothers, Ian Burke said: "We have put bunk beds in for him. So he has more space for activities." Susan Williams said: "He can have my spare room in return for a return ticket for Australia", while Barbara Almond said: "We've got room they would be made very welcome."
Stef Anie offered a deal, saying: "I'll do a house swap for a week. He can have mine, I'll have his in LA", while Patsy Stephens said Will could: "Kip on my couch".
On Twitter, user @lisamxrphy offered her nan's house, saying: "My Nan will host him, free with unlimited cuppas and transport via my Grandads motorcycle collection". Sounds like a very agreeable arrangement.
