A dad on TikTok has shown viewers how to make homemade pizza for 45p and garlic mayo for 80p.
Scouse TikTok user @get_on_this regularly showcases how to make delicious homemade meals for his children and save some money in the process. With costs rising in supermarkets, he has been on a one-man crusade to find cheaper alternatives to favourite meals and call out expensive shop prices.
In one of his recent videos, he made a homemade cheese and tomato pizza. He started with around 400g of flour and a pinch of salt.

These were then mixed with yeast in warm water until they became a dough. After kneading the flour twice, he added the base and toppings before cooking it in the oven.
The TikToker claimed that the total price of this meal came to 45p. He said: “That’s cheaper than any pizza gaff or getting it from a shop.”
In another video, he showcased his homemade garlic mayo recipe. This involved peeling a clove of garlic, removing the roots and pouring sunflower oil over it in a roasting dish.
After that, he put the garlic in the oven for 20 minutes until the garlic browned a little and moved them to a bowl. He then cracked an egg and spread mustard over the garlic before mixing it all together with a food blitzer.
He said: “You’re not getting a better garlic mayo out from the shop.” He claimed the sauce in total cost him around 70-80p to make.
Reacting to his pizza video, one said: “Definitely trying, might keep me out the pizza place.” Another added: “I followed just for the commentary, pizza looks top.”
