Scouse millionaire to pay for 1,000 Ukrainian refugees to come to UK

A millionaire businessman has pledge to pay for 1,000 Ukrainian refugees to the UK and called on the government "stop delaying".

The founder of housebuilder Redrow, Steve Morgan - who Lives in Formby - says he’s been "moved to tears" by the sight of more than two million Ukrainians fleeing their country following the invasion by Russia.

The dad-of-six, who has supported millions of vulnerable people since the launch of the Steve Morgan Foundation in 2001, hopes other philanthropists will follow his lead, NorthWalesLive reports.
