Scottish Water say that they are currently investigating reports of an interruption to water supplies for customers in areas of Glasgow and Bishopbriggs. Engineers are said to be on their way to find the cause of the interruption, which appears to have affected areas with the postcodes starting G21, G33 and G64.
The water corporation said that a further update would be provided as soon as possible and it apologised to consumers for any inconvenience or disruption caused. The incident is thought to have happened between midnight and 4am on Monday, September 26.
In a bulletin posted on its website, Scottish Water said: "Customers in the G21 and G33 areas of Glasgow and G64 area of Bishopbriggs have reported an interruption to their water supply. We are currently on the way to investigate the issue and are aiming to be on site as soon as possible.
"While we investigate, please be aware that you may experience no water supply or low/intermittent water pressure. You may also experience discoloured water. If you require additional support, please use this link to sign up as a Priority Services Customer.

It comes just two weeks to the day after supplies to exactly the same area were interrupted. Then, engineers had to use a JCB digger to excavate an area of woodland and drain a ditch that had filled with muddy water.
