A Scottish mum has shared the devastating moment she found out her son's mystery bruises were actually cancer.
Mum-of-one Leighann Cochrane, 36, and husband Keith, 53, were told their son Arran, three, was suffering from the rare form of leukaemia last month. Having moved to New Zealand years ago, the family of three were on a summer trip back to Scotland to visit friends when the unusual bruising began to appear.
Despite sharing that Arran could be "boisterous", Leighann said they hadn't seen him fall or bump into anything, and quickly became concerned. With both pin prick and larger bruises continuing to appear when the family visited Oban and Argyll and Bute, Arran then began to complain of tiredness and started to appear paler than usual.
