Eco Group has appointed James Kellock to the newly-created role of head of sales for its net zero portfolio of products.
As part of the EcoGoZero team, he will work with businesses across the UK to find practical ways in which they can help mitigate carbon emissions and find solutions for a sustainable future.
Kellock said: “I’m excited to have this opportunity to be at the forefront of helping businesses on their net zero journey.
“We’re actively collaborating with businesses and organisations across the country to make a positive difference to the environment and lay the foundations for a brighter and stronger future.”
He comes from more than a decade working as a sales manager in the telecommunications industry with Gradwell, 02, Vodafone and Cellhire.
EcoGoZero offers affordable technology solutions with a focus on energy decentralisation, off-grid energy, decarbonised travel, waste-to-fuel, electric charging and infrastructure innovation.
Products in the range include the BriXcell - a brick-sized EV chargepoint which can be installed as part of the construction phase of new builds - and Eco Off-Grid, a standalone off-grid LED street lighting system which can be used in a variety of different environments.
The latter product was launched earlier this month with its developers, Durham-based Kight Off-Grid Solutions, combining solar PV panels and a wind turbine, with up to five days of generated power stored in a battery pack to ensure continual illumination.
Eddie Black, managing director of Eco Group, said: “We believe this product can make a real difference to businesses which are facing ever increasing costs due to rising energy bills, while helping them reduce their carbon footprint at the same time.”
Other products and services are due to come online in the near future.
Based in Dumfries and Galloway, Eco Group is a multi-disciplined solutions business working across the UK in a range of sectors, including IT and communications, design, build and fit out, and dry ice blasting.
Employing more than 80 people, the group moved into a new 3,000 sq m headquarters on Annan Business Park last year, which was built by its own team during the pandemic.
