A Scottish NHS worker reportedly has to buy own-brand groceries from the supermarket and wear extra layers of clothing while in his home, due to the cost of living crisis.
Sean Robertson, from Inverness, works in a hospital lab dealing with Covid tests among other duties. However, although he is forced to take extra measures to avoid putting his heating on during the colder months as soaring bills and rent prices have sky-rocketed in 2022.
The Record report that one of Scotland's major health unions, GMB, is calling for members to reject the Scottish Government's five per cent offer in the ballot which launched on Friday, July 8, and runs until August 5.
