Scottish man leaves couple £15,000 out of pocket after lease on their luxury home

A bankrupt Scottish debt expert was ordered out of a luxury home after running up more than £15,000 in rent arrears. It’s also claimed that thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to the house during the 18-month stay by Alan Harty.

It’s the second time the self-styled debt adviser has moved into a luxury home and run up thousands in unpaid rent. The latest landlord to fall victim to Harty is retired restaurant owner Costanzo Cacace, 72, who was granted an eviction order in October after a lengthy legal battle.

Bentley-driving Harty was also ordered to pay the rent debt of £15,155 in October but has so far failed to do so. He left the property in the village of Torrance, near Glasgow, at the beginning of December – before the eviction order could be enforced, reports the Daily Record.
