Scottish independence rally in Dumfries attracts more than 1,000 supporters

Dumfries’ Dock Park was the focal point of a Scottish independence rally on Saturday, which attracted more than 1,000 supporters.

Indyref 2 enthusiasts came from all over Scotland to take part in the march and, at Dock Park, listened to various speakers including SNP South Scotland MSP Emma Harper.

Organised by All Under One Banner, which is calling for maximum participation from people across the Yes movement, the Dissolve The Union Dumfries march urged supporters to gather on the High Street from noon for a procession which passed Burns Statue, went down Buccleuch Street and along the Whitesands before heading to Dockhead and then Dock Park.
