Scottish independence group to unveil plan for new currency from ‘day one’

THE Scottish Currency Group (SCG) is set to unveil a new report arguing that an independent Scotland should introduce its own currency from the first day of independence.

The 160-page report will be presented at the group’s conference in Dunfermline on Saturday by Professor Thibault Laurentjoye of Aalborg University.
