Scottish Iceland worker wins £3,000 after being sacked for eating a Twirl

A supermarket worker for discount chain Iceland who was fired for snacking on a Cadbury’s Twirl bar has won a £3,000 payout after she took bosses to an employment tribunal.

The hearing heard how Sharon Cassidy was sacked after she was caught on CCTV eating the chocolate treat from a £1 pack of five without paying for it.
