The Scottish Four in a Bed wining B&B has been in the news for its stunning decor, amazing views and wonderfully friendly hospitality - but fans were surprised to see that the Lamlash Bay Hotel on the Isle of Arran went on sale.
However, owner Meg El Adm wanted to reassure Channel 4 viewers that this was no spur-of-the-moment thing - and that the hotel had been on sale since before the show aired.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Meg said: "I’m not in the FIAB FB group but I had heard there was surprise from people seeing the hotel for sale.

"We actually put the hotel on the market 18 months ago and our reasons for selling were to downsize from the scale of operation we currently run.
"My husband’s family all live abroad and with our own kids grown and leaving Arran too we wanted to be able to have more time to see our family more.
"It was also a bit disappointing that people think they can’t come or book the hotel as it’s on the market. It is in fact business as usual and has been since it was put up for sale.
"Commercial properties take longer to sell and unfortunately we had a second lockdown during that time. Our reviews show that we always strive to give an excellent guest experience.
"The hotel will be sold as a going concern if and when there is a buyer. They will take over the staff and bookings and there would be a seem less transition which is also how we bought the hotel.
"The Bay has been a hotel for over 100 years and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future as Arran is a very popular island for visitors."
Meg also revealed that she never actually applied to go on Four in a Bed in the first place, and it actually took a last-minute drop-out for the Lamlash Bay Hotel to appear on our television screens.
She continued: "One last thing that cancels out any plot about the “for sale” aspect is that we never applied to go on the show!!
"The studio contacted us when they had a last minute hotel cancel on them and were looking for somewhere to take part!
"Believe it or not, despite being busy preparing to reopen last May, we managed to hatch a plan, get Yvonne on board while my husband stayed behind to run the business and the crew arrived to start filming the next day!
"We had no time to prepare and set off on our filming adventure knowing that it was a case of “ what you see is what you get” when the contestants arrived at ours.
"We even had to move existing bookings to other rooms to host the other BnB couples!
"All in all it was a fantastic opportunity to show case Arran and our hotel and to actually win was just amazing and made us really proud of all the work we have put into our business.
"It helps that we live in a beautiful location and have a fantastic team. As they say, team work makes the dream work!"
The Lamlash Bay Hotel, located on the Isle of Arran, came up trumps on the Channel 4 show, beating Newholme Hotel in Blackpool and The Trap Inn in Northumberland.
Four in a Bed continues on Channel 4 on Monday, March 21 at 5pm.
