A group of food experts will investigate a Scottish delicacy in a new episode of Channel 4's Food Unwrapped: Sweet Feast.
Hosts Jimmy Doherty, Kate Quilton and Matt Tebbutt aim to uncover the myths and secrets about food and reveal how to stay in shape by incorporating diet with exercise. The synopsis for the next episode reads: "The team tuck into some of their favourite sweet treats. Matt Tebbutt explores the popularity of sour sweets and just why they taste so sharp.

"Kate Quilton discovers the secret to slow-melting ice cream. Briony May Williams reveals why some jams are runnier than others. And Amanda Byram finds out what puts the 'short' in shortbread."
Scottish invention shortbread is at the forefront of this episode, with the buttery treat explored by host Amanda Byram. Amanda will visit scientists, factory owners, growers and producers to reveal information about the food that is largely unknown to most people.
The programme tries to get answers from supermarkets and food producers, but when those attempts fall short, the team do whatever is necessary to find out. But we know all there is to know about shortbread - or do we?
Food Unwrapped: Sweet Feast will air on Monday, July 18 at 8pm on Channel 4. Previous episodes are available for catch-up on All 4.
