A dad has told how he has to wear ear defenders around his two-year-old due to an aggressive brain tumour that leaves him coping with debilitating symptoms in everyday life.
Jerome van Leeuwen, 42, who lives in Methill, Fife has asthma-like symptoms, struggles with walking and no longer sleeps in the same bed as his wife due to her moving through the night which triggers his hypersensitivity.
Dad-of-one Jerome was his daughter’s age when he was diagnosed with a pilocytic astrocytoma brain tumour – the most common type of brain and spinal cord tumour in children.
