Motherwell will face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup fifth round.
Graham Alexander's men are the only Lanarkshire representatives in the next round and they'll take on the Dons following their fourth round victory over Morton.
But it was far from plain-sailing against Championship opposition. The Ton took Motherwell to extra-time but Kevin Van Veen's penalty and a fine Liam Donnelly goal ensured a 2-1 win and progression.
Alexander's side have beaten Aberdeen 2-0 both home and away in the Premiership this term.
The fourth round saw three side's from Lanarkshire participate. Airdrie lost out to Championship side Partick Thistle 1-0 at Firhill through Brian Graham's goal.
Lowland League outfit East Kilbride suffered Scottish Cup agony in their loss to Airdrie's League One rivals Peterhead. They lost 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
Holders St Johnstone meanwhile were eliminated by League Two title hopefuls Kelty Hearts in the round's shock result as a new beckons this season.
