The two non-league Ayrshire sides left in the senior Scottish Cup found out their third round opponents this afternoon, as did Scottish Championship side Ayr United who enter at this stage.
Auchinleck Talbot battled through their second round clash with Bo'ness United and they required penalties to seal the crucial victory after Ally Park scored a vital equaliser from Tommy Sloan's men.
They will now head to Kirkcaldy to battle with Championship side Raith Rovers.
Michael Kennedy's Darvel cruised through with a 7-1 at Dalbeattie Star, however the Lowland League side did initially equalise early on.
An Allan MacKenzie hat-trick was complimented by goals from Willie Robertson, Chris McGowan, Daryll Meggatt and Lewis Morrison to ensure it was a comfortable afternoon in the south of Scotland.
Now they have been handed a tricky tie away to Montrose.
Championship side Ayr have entered in at the third round and they will host the winners of Pollok v Annan Athletic tonight
