Scottish companies could be banned from dumping unsold goods

Edinburgh’s Fresh Start has been singled out for praise by the circular economy minister, Lorna Slater, for providing a vital service whilst saving the environment as she announces that companies may be banned from dumping unsold white goods.

The minister spoke out ahead of a visit to Fresh Start in Edinburgh, where white goods and household items that have been donated by companies are given to help those who have been homeless as they move into a new property.

Fresh Start could be one such business that benefits from companies being banned from dumping unsold products that are still in good order.
