A Scottish city has been named in a world top 10 for having the happiest LBGTQ+ residents.
Edinburgh ranked alongside Toronto, Amsterdam and Barcelona on the list.
The research by DC Jewellery analysed cities from all around the world, by looking at the global acceptance index to reveal which cities have the highest LGBTQ+ happiness rating.
To find out which cities ranked, they used the Global Acceptance Index score for each country, according to the Williams Institute, which uses data from more than 2,750 surveys conducted over 30 years to measure changing levels of acceptance toward LGBT people and issues in 175 countries.
The capital was the only Scottish city to make the ranking and placed in joint sixth with the only other UK entry, London.
The city is well regarded for its thriving LGBTQ+ scene and with s ame-sex marriage legal in Scotland since 2014, it's highly regarded by the European LGBTQ+ community.
