Alba Baptista, the current girlfriend of Captain America actor Chris Evans, has revealed how she was almost the victim of a child abduction attempt in Scotland.
The terrifying ordeal was alleged during an interview in her home nation of Portugal. The 25-year-old actress shared her story with Nova Gente magazine detailing how the incident took place whilst she was on a study trip aged just 10.
“I was queuing in a shop to buy a T-shirt for my dad and a man aged around 50 beside me offered to pay for it. I thanked him but told him it wasn’t necessary,” she said. “Then he said to me, ‘Look, I have a much better T-shirt in my car.’”

Alba recalled how the peculiar stranger tried to force her out of the shop by grabbing her by the arm. She added: “The teacher appeared at the door to call me. I ran to go to her, the Daily Record reports.
"I remember telling her what had happened and suddenly I see the man cutting through the queue with a hurricane-type look on his face and coming directly for me. My teacher went to alert someone and I was left alone.
“But the worst was yet to come. The man grabbed me and began to carry me down the street. Then I began to shout and tell him to leave me alone.
“I remember looking back and seeing the whole class running after me. Then everyone surrounded the man and he had to let go of me.”
It is not known exactly where in Scotland the ordeal took place or if Police were called to look into the attempt.
