Here's what Conde Nast had to say about Borders camping area, which is located between Hawick and Jedburgh:

"A family-run campsite that can be whatever you want it to be, with safari lodges for glampers, family pitches inside an Edwardian walled garden and, in the woods at the foot of Ruberslaw Mountain, a good 15-minute walk from the rest of the site, camping pitches with views of the Cheviot Hills (and plenty of squirrels).

"It’s a place to spot roe deer and, if you’re lucky, badgers, then head to the reading room in the old greenhouse and settle down with a book beneath the rafter-high, decades-old vines.

"The barn is home to a family of swallows that you can watch darting in and out of the eves."

And it appears plenty of people agree with the magazine's assessment of Ruberslaw, with the site having an achieved an average rating of 4.8/5 out of on Google Reviews.

Some visitors have hailed it as 'the best campsite for kids', with one guest heralding it as 'a magical well set up place.'
