A legendary Glasgow band's "homecoming" show next year will be their "biggest" headline gig in 34 years.
Simple Minds are playing a concert as part of Glasgow's Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park on Friday, June 27, 2025.
The group say this is their biggest UK headline show since their Real Life tour in 1991.
They will be joined onstage in Glasgow by special guests Future Islands, KT Tunstall and Hamish Hawk completing the line-up.
Following the huge ongoing success of their global tour, which kicked off in 2024 and is their largest since 1985, Simple Minds started announcing new dates for 2025.
These include a run of UK and Irish summer 2025 outdoor shows, swiftly followed by several Italian shows, and with more dates across the world still to be announced.
Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr said: “Simple Minds live in Glasgow, the city that made us, is always a glorious occasion for both band and fans.
"Live in Bellahouston Park is destined to be all of that and more … It cannot come soon enough!“
Since forming in Glasgow in 1977, Simple Minds have gone on to achieve global success and sold more than 60 million albums.
The group has continued to stay relevant in the modern music scene having played to around one million fans in the last 12 months.
Tickets for the Summer Sessions gig go on artist pre-sale from Wednesday, November 6 from 9am.
General sale begins on Friday, November 8 at 9am.
