Scott Robinson lands 'proven winner' tag as Partick Thistle boss Kris Doolan adds to Firhill ranks

Kris Doolan has completed his first new signing in the shape of Scott Robinson.

The 31-year-old - who spent the past two seasons at Kilmarnock - arrives at Firhill on a two-year deal with plenty of top flight and Scottish Championship experience. He helped Derek McInnes' men win the second tier title during the 2021/22 campaign and retain their Premiership status for another campaign on their return to Scotland's summit.

Brian Graham was rewarded recently with a new deal and Robinson will give Doolan another option in his attacking ranks ahead of the new season. The manager has hailed his new recruit as a proven winner with his versatility a desirable trait.

He told the official club website: "When I knew of Scott’s availability, he was a player that I was keen to add to the squad as quickly as possible.

"He has experience of getting out of this league and is a proven winner as demonstrated throughout his career.

“He’s a hard worker and he has a great attitude so I think he’ll fit in well alongside the other attacking players we have at the club.

"He can play in a number of positions in our team and I see him as a key part of what we are looking to achieve this season."

Robinson will hook up with his new team-mates for pre-season training as preparations for the Premier Sports Cup and Championship campaign kick into gear.
