Can the consumer price index be anything but scary?
I think it can, actually. But we have to get past the numbers making headlines.
In the report for October, the most recent available, we were told that inflation in the previous 12 months had been 7.7%. Inflation for the month of October was 0.4%. Projected for a year, that’s about 5%.
