Scott Brown is reportedly interested in the vacant managerial position at Raith Rovers.
The former Celtic captain is on the lookout for his first managerial position since leaving Aberdeen as a player earlier this year.
He had moved to Pittodrie to take on a player-coaching role but Jim Goodwin decided to allow him to leave after Stephen Glass’ sacking.
And now he could make his first move into management himself by joining Raith Rovers after John McGlynn’s exit.
McGlynn moved to Falkirk and the Scotsman report Brown has made his intentions clear to replace him at the helm.
Raith finished fifth in the table this campaign, narrowly missing out on the playoffs and a potential crack at Premiership promotion.
Brown, meanwhile, has been training with Dunfermline in recent weeks following his Dons exit but remains on the lookout to become his own man in the dugout.
He joins the likes of former Hibs teammate and Rangers rival Kevin Thomson among the list of potential candidates while out of work James McPake could also be an option.
Brown has also been linked with the managerial position at Fleetwood Town.
