Scott Brown trained with Dunfermline as the Celtic legend weighs up the next move in his career.
The 36-year-old recently departed his player/coach role at Aberdeen and is considering the next chapter.
And Fifer Brown trained with the Championship bottom side where his family remain in the area having been brought up in Hill of Beath.
Brown is also still close to Steven Whittaker who he played alongside at Hibs and the former Scotland and Rangers full back is on the coaching staff at East End Park.
The Courier reports that an invite was extended by John Hughes’ men for Brown to join them for training.
And the nine-in-a-row Hoops captain was only too happy to accept as he keeps his fitness up as he could continue his illustrious playing career.
Dunfermline boss Hughes has invited others out of football to the Fife club including close friends John Collins and Brian Rice.
