Legendary Celtic skipper Scott Brown will line up for the Parkhead side once again – but not in a way fans may be used to.
The captain said goodbye to Celtic Park to round off a torrid trophyless campaign before making the move to Aberdeen.
However, that spell at the Dons ended when boss Stephen Glass left the Pittodrie hotseat to be replaced by Jim Goodwin.
This summer Brown will pull the boots back on for Celtic as Masters Football returns to the UK.
The popular format has been absent for a decade but Brown will return to the Braehead Arena on July 8.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Rangers will all be represented - with Barry Ferguson set to face off with Brown as the old rivals clash again.
Steve McManaman will captain the Reds, while Louis Saha leads United at the event.
A statement from organisers read: "Football fans everywhere will be treated to a series of fast-paced action-packed 16 minute games in which each team play each other once, with the top two teams contesting a play-off to decide which of them will be crowned Masters champions!
"The 360 Sports TV Masters Cup 2022 will likely feature footballing legends such as Liverpool maestro Steve McManaman, Manchester United front man Louis Saha, Rangers hero Barry Ferguson and Celtic icon Scott Brown among a star-studded lineup."
