Scott Brown and Joey Barton had a feud on the pitch that was clear to see.
And it appears said rivalry has not subsided one bit as the two met again, this time across the dugout. Fleetwood Town are in a healthy state under Celtic hero Brown who has taken up his first full managerial post after calling time on a storied career at Parkhead. Meanwhile Rangers flop Barton, who did not live up to the hype at Ibrox, is in charge of Bristol Rovers.
It was Barton's men who prevailed with a 2-1 win on Monday in the English League one as Brown's side made it three games without a win. But the former QPR player launched a scathing attack on the tactics of his old foe and astonishingly claimed that Cods' fans would rather HIM as manager than the ex-Scotland international.

He said post-match: "I spoke to the boys at half-time and said just settle down and keep passing the ball.
"I thought we were good value for the victory, the wind here is a factor and the first half we were into it and it made it tricky as they kick it long and want to pin you in, they are quite effective at that.
"I think we were the better side on the afternoon, we were the only side trying to play football. They are effective at what they do.
"But Fleetwood fans must be disappointed Joey Barton isn't their manager because we were miles the better football team than they are seeing at the minute. It's Fleetwood's loss and Bristol Rovers' gain."
