The term 's**thousery' has become hugely popular in recent years, with fans celebrating those masters of the dark arts you love to hate.
Whether it's Sergio Ramos flinging himself to the deck, Leonardo Bonucci telling England "it's coming to Rome" or just Diego Costa in general there's a real appreciation for football's greatest trolls.
Aberdeen captain Scott Brown may not be on the level of that trio when it comes to kicking a ball, but as a s**thouser he's one of the greatest ever to do it.
And the former Celtic skipper loves nothing more than winding up Rangers players, staff and fans.
Over the years the sight of an Ibrox star slinking off accompanied by Brown wearing an 'I can't believe you fell for that, that's you gone' expression became all to familiar for those of a blue persuasion.
The colour of the shirt may have changed but Broony has not and in Aberdeen's 1-1 draw with the champions he was at the very top of his trolling game.
Here are some of his match highlights, with not a touch of a football involved.
Start as you mean to go on
Brown was at it right from the off as he immediately warmed to the occasion.
The Aberdeen star came out of the tunnel for warm-up with a ball in his hands - and immediately kicked it in the direction of the Rangers support.
Let them know you're there early doors.
Winding up Morelos
These two are old foes and Brown was keen to get under the striker's skin from the off.
A first half throw saw the former Scotland captain hold the ball away from Morelos as he went to retrieve it.
That earned him a little shove which, in true s**thouse fashion, Brown made the very most of.
Referee Kevin Clancy rightly brushed it off but it set down a marker for what was to come.
Waving off Ryan Kent
The standout moment of Brown's match was his reaction to the red card for Rangers winger Kent.
Having been harshly booked for a foul on Jonny Hayes, the Englishman caught the Aberdeen captain late.
The contact wasn't massive, and having been down in apparent agony Brown recovered quickly.
The veteran was geeing up his team-mates when Kent passed him on his way up the tunnel.
He left with the laughter of Brown ringing in his ears, as well as a cheery wave for his troubles.
An arm round the shoulder
The Aberdeen captain wasn't done there as he had a quick word with his opposite number.
Tavernier had something to say to Brown immediately following Kent's dismissal - possibly about his reaction to the foul in question.
If it was an attempt to wind the midfielder up it didn't work, with Brown laughing and putting his arm around the Rangers man's shoulder.
Tavernier was in no mood for a cuddle though as he shoved the Aberdeen skipper off - much to Brown's delight.
The 36-year-old was truly in his element at this point as he revelled in the seethe coming from the away end.
Cliping on Barisic
Like a baseball batter on a hot streak, Brown was well and truly motoring at this point.
Much to the anger of Rangers fans, Clancy ordered Borna Barisic off the pitch to deal with a bloody nose while his side were defending a set piece.
While sending the Croat to the sidelines was the right call, Gers supporters were fuming that it happened at such a key moment when their man had been in need of treatment for some time.
Of course it's likely that the referee had simply not noticed that Barisic was bleeding up to that point.
Luckily Brown was on hand to draw the matter to his attention at a particularly key moment of the game...
Counting to nine
When the final whistle went Brown was inevitably subject to a rollicking from the Rangers support.
The visiting fans were understandably keen to remind the Celtic legend of his final season, which ended in disappointment as he failed to win a 10th Premiership title in a row.
A fair point, but Brown offered a subtle reminder of the ones he did manage to lift during. his time at Parkhead.
As he walked off the pitch the veteran could be seen with his head down looking at his hands.
For a player who famously stands up to the flak he looked unusually chastened - until it became clear he was counting up to nine.
He's never likely to get any love from the Rangers fans, and even grudging respect will be hard to come by.
Brown is never boring to watch though, and while his career may be on the wane he can still s**thouse with the best of them
