A young Scots woman who once juggled two jobs has managed to pay off her mortgage after selling snaps of herself online instead.
Chloe, from Glasgow, who does not wish to disclose her surname, used to work in a call centre during the day and in a bar at night. The 25-year-old now claims she makes more than £60,000 a month by uploading images of herself to an adult content website - where she also receives 'weird' personal requests from men.
Chloe always dreamed of owning her own home and says that after saving up her earnings from the age of 16 and living with her parents, she was able to purchase her first property for £210,000 in 2019. Just 12 months after Fanvue - a subscription platform for adult content creators - she says she is mortgage free and is on track to buy a second home within the next two years.
Chloe, who quit her jobs last year to go full-time as a content creator, has built a loyal fanbase since joining the platform, with hundreds of subscribers willing to pay hundreds for her content - which she creates at her home. But it's her private requests that bring in most of the money - which can include being asked to write a man's name on her body.
"Owning my own house has always been a massive dream and focus of mine," Chloe tells The Mirror.
"I started properly working as soon as I was able to at 16, saving as much money as I possibly could. I've always been really good with money when I need to be, so managed to save up enough of a deposit".
Already popular on her Instagram - @tamichlo - Chloe turned to the website after hearing about it from friends, and she claims it's a safer option than other sites out there. She says it didn't take her long to start earning thousands a month.
"I thought 'why not? Give it a go," she adds. "If you work hard enough it doesn't take long to earn that amount of money.
"I had a good following on Instagram before joining and I'm always DMing, creating content - I'm quite business-minded and just want to make as much as I possibly can."
The private requests via her account on Fanvue - which has seen a 320 per cent rise in creators joining the platform in the past five months - is where she makes the most money.
"Sometimes it's simple stuff like writing a guy's name on my body somewhere - they love it because it's totally personal to them," she explains.
"On the weirder side, I've been sent some very interesting personal items in the post to play with."
Chloe says her line of work doesn't change her personal relationships and she is thankful for the lavish lifestyle she is able to lead because of it.
"I love nice things, I'm the first person to admit that," she says. "I love nice food, jewellery, and clothes and being on Fanvue has allowed me to have all of that. Long-term, I want to be able to buy a second house. If things keep going the way they are with my content I’m hoping to get there in the next two years."
There are some negatives though, as Chloe has received a lot of hateful messages in the past.
"But you've got to focus on the 90 per cent of positive vibes rather than that 10 per cent," she comments. "Honestly, it really has been life-changing."
The adult content industry is estimated to be worth around $4 billion, according to Forbes.
