Scots woman 'freaked out' after spotting UFO 'falling from the sky'

A woman was left 'freaked out' after spotting a strange object 'falling from the sky' in Aberdeen.

Rebecca Smith was on her way home from work when she clocked the UFO from the Sheddocksley area around 7pm on Friday.

The 29-year-old was so stunned by what she was watching she pulled her car over to film a clip of the object, which looked to be on fire, as it hurtled back down to earth.

Traces of smoke can also be seen trailing behind it as it plummets from the sky.

Searching for answers, Rebecca posted the video on Facebook for others to hazard a guess and was met with a number of interesting takes - some comical and some convincing.

The clip amassed more than 1.6k views, 100 shares and 100 comments, with theories ranging from a meteor to a falling star, while others believed it may have been a plane or even an archangel.

One man commented: "Meteor burning out"

Another agreed, saying: "Cool, looks like a possible meteor burning up in the atmosphere".

A third wrote: "Space shuttle".

One woman in Stonehaven added: "My son saw something that looked like it was falling earlier this evening but we lost view of it behind the houses opposite."

Rebecca told the Record: "I was driving home and just happened to spot it so I pulled over to take a video.

"I was definitely freaked out.

"If I didn't feel it was something strange, I would have just drove on.

"I'm still curious as to what it could have been as no one seems to know."
