Finding the right beauty products for your make-up bag can be as expensive as it is exciting, which is why we all love to know about a good dupe that won't break the bank.
And, luckily, one Scottish make-up artist believes they have found a perfect budget 'dupe' for Estee Lauder's best-selling Double Wear foundation on the high-street.
Famed for its long-lasting wear, the cult beauty product has become a hit with beauty enthusiasts everywhere - but at £35, it can be somewhat pricey.
Enter Primark with their £5 PS My Perfect Colour Double Coverage Matte Foundation that has beauty enthusiasts saying it is better than the designer brand.
The budget 'dupe' went viral after a Scottish bridal make-up artist shared a quick video on social media that compared both beauty products.
Julia Stronach of Aberdeenshire based Jewel Cosmetics shared her review to TikTok that had beauty enthusiasts "obsessed" with the budget 'dupe.'
It comes after the high-street fashion giant's £4.50 Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer went viral on the social media platform for being a 'dupe' of Bobbi Brown's £45 iconic Face Base by Bobbi Brown.
Sharing a video to her official TikTok channel (@jewel_cosmetics), the Scots make-up artist applied both foundations to see how they lasted throughout the day.
In the 59 second clip, both the designer foundation and Primark's 'dupe' can be seen side by side to show the similarities in packaging style.
She said: "Today I'm going to compare the original Double Wear with the Primark Dupe. I'm going to start by applying it with my Jewel Cosmetics Send Nudes make-up sponge."
The make-up artist then proceeds to cover one side of her face with Estee Lauder's original Double Wear Foundation and the other with Primark's foundation, before leaving to see how they both last for a few hours.
After a few hours, Julia admitted that she was impressed with both foundation's lasting effect, with Primark's surprisingly still having that long-lasting matte effect.
She said: "It's now six o'clock and I have to say I'm impressed. Both sides are still looking really good. I think the Estee Lauder Double Wear looks a bit dewy, but the Primark side literally hasn't moved.
I cannot get my head round how good this foundation is for only £5. It's actually insane."
And, she wasn't the only one impressed by the budget beauty products lasting effect, as she asked her 4,400 followers to share their thoughts in the comments. While the Estee Lauder foundation still had its fans, many beauty enthusiasts were quick to rave about the budget 'dupe' as being "better."
"I prefer the Primark side", said one shopper.
"I am OBSESSED with the Primark side!!", praised a second.
"Looks fab and Primark side looks better", said a third.
With a fourth commenting: "That Primark foundation is bomb!! Beautiful as always."
A fifth joked that Aberdeen's Primark would now be "all sold out" thanks to the comparison.
Primark's £5 PS My Perfect Colour Double Coverage Matte Foundation is available in-stores now.
